Yes, a custom Colt 1911. Of all issues, the sear broke. I had never ever heard of one breaking in the past. Wear issues, yes but not breaking. Obviously, the pistol was down. Went to an issue S&W 66 revolver. I preferred the 1911 for serious social situations -- and still do. Things happens.

man, you gotta fix the auto focus issue. you're standing in one spot, talking -- can you please just manually focus your camera on the tip of the microphone and turn the auto-focus off? one or two videos, I wouldn't complain, but it's every video in your studio: the camera keeps auto-focusing and calibrating, randomly and it's unnecessarily distracting. there is no reason for auto-focus to be on when it's just you in a stationary position.

Bill! Imagine SHTF happening on a ship in the middle of the ocean. If a communist saved the life of a democrat, would this one still hate communists? If a Russian saved an American's life, would they become friends? If an American saved the life of a Russian, would they become friends? If a terrorist saved a policeman's life or a policeman saved a terrorist's life, would they become friends? When some Chinese saves the life of an American, I don’t understand why some Americans hate the Chinese. That's where is the problem. From this point... How is SHTF different from any other ordinary day?

I don’t require anyone to believe what I say, I know where my place is, I’m just expressing my opinion. When SHTF happens to you, you will make a decision yourself, regardless of whether you like someone’s opinion or not. To be or not to be, that is the question. Nothing is guaranteed in life. Everything is possible, no matter we like it or not.

Ive lived through 7 days of no power after a derichio storm. It was bad, had to drive an hour to find a gas station with power to get gas. Traffic lights were out everywhere, water was out so i had to fetch it 5 gallons at a time from the creek then boil it. Ive also had it happen where stores only accepted cash because the payment processing centers in California were out of power due to forest fires...

In 1996 in December, probably around the 22nd or 23rd the northeast coast had a unique storm that dropped about 3” of hale and sleet followed by freezing rain. It turned into a 3” block of ice covering everything and it was unusually cold in va (where I was). We drove 3.5 hours down to the middle peninsula for Christmas with the in-laws and brought a generator. We left as it was just starting to get dark. It was the most eerie drive I’ve ever taken. 3.5 hours diagonally across a state and didn’t pass one home with any lights on. The power stayed out for most people about eleven days. Luckily I was able to use one of the double pole breakers as a field installed main and we were able to have a few outlets, microwave, air handler fan and the blower on the wood burning stove so we were fairly comfortable. For what it’s worth, society didn’t break down. But now that the communists have taken their toll on our youth, I’m not sure the results would be the same today.

No matter how much you prepare, you can't defeat everyone, sooner or later you will run out of food, medicine, water and ammunition, and you will go looking for supplies, and then you will become a target for other hungry people. Don’t be naive that only you can endure bad weather for a long time and outlive everyone. Survivors may have completely different morals from yours and you may find that you are in the minority and have no choice.

Bill! You also don’t take into attention the fact that many people may turn out to be not only criminals, but also maniacs and rapists, mentally ill. How to distinguish them in a crowd of people when everyone around is angry? Not only marauders will run through the streets and attack anyone who gets in their way. One of the criminals can attack the policeman and take away its clothes, weapons and badge, and you will never know who is in front of you, a real police officer or a criminal. When people are hungry and ignorant, they are capable of anything!

My neighbors or passers-by will simply kill me or anyone else for a bottle of water, food or medicine, so I don't think about such things hard. When there are no police, when there is no one on the streets who can control the people behavior, then the police themselves become looters and criminals who attack people who have food, water and medicine, as well as the any other things they need. They'll take them away from anyone. You give them up voluntarily, or they take them by force. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about. I have real experience of such situations.

Bill, if a SHTF happens, will you share supplies with hungry people or people in need of medical attention? Why do you think that any of these needy people will wait for your permission when they are thirsty, hungry, and need the help of the medic? No one will wait long; people will assault the storages with food, water, and medicine, in any case to get what they need. Regardless of whether they are law-abiding people or criminals. Bill! You are the same as everyone else! You will also assault storage facilities with food, water and medicine to help yourself or your friends, otherwise they will die. You are just like everyone else.

Bill, you seem to know well enough what your country needs, just nominate yourself as a candidate for President of the United States in the next election. You need to be more decisive, otherwise you won't change anything. It is impossible to forever run away from all problems; sooner or later you will have to solve all problems.

Constructive criticism: you really need to fix the camera focus. It's very distracting. You aren't moving that much, so just use fixed focus.

In the event of the electrical failure this means the whole infrastructure shuts down and everybody out there knows this for all the people that say oh if you're not going to get a paycheck then you're not going to work forget about that!. There will be no fuel to go to work for any Services there will be no food available for anybody in any Services same thing goes for fresh water the pressure will stop and people will be dumbfounded. When there's no fuel food water or you're leaving your family to go to your supposed work and leaving your family unsecured you got to be stupid to try and move forward and that aspect therefore everybody's going to be protectionism for their own home their own neighborhood. As far as what stoker had mentioned about neighborhood stores being ransacked it's basically going to be the same people from that neighborhood ransacking it because people do not leave their part of town to go to another part of town to ransack other people's neighborhoods when theirs is closer remember there will be no fuel anybody driving a car will be an open Target so don't be a sucker. I have a lot of friends who are absolutely not prepared in any shapewear form for any kind of Hiccup in society whatsoever which means is everybody is a liability that cannot hold their own sorry for the bad news everyone but not even your praying is going to help that stuff.

Weapon breaking story, I had a catastrophic ammo malfunction that completely rendered the weapon useless. So it wasn't the weapon itself but the result was the weapon was useless. A primer fell out or got ripped out of the primer pocket I'm not sure which one I never got to the bottom of it, it then got smashed in such a way that it was between the BCG and upper receiver and jammed the entire action and I could no longer use it that day. It was an AR15 and the ammo was 5.56 I can't remember the brand this was years ago. I had another malfunction on another rifle one time where the hand guard screws sheered off and the hand guard was completely unable for me to hold onto and engage accurately. So I could still fire it but not in such a way that I could maintain accountability of my rounds.
